Welcome

AMIS is based at the University of Amsterdam, within the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics. We investigate how animals interact with their microbes, both pathogens and commensals, and the ecological and evolutionary implications of such interactions. We blend theory and empirical research, focusing on the individual-level as well as on the emerging population-level dynamics.
